Conference and event space at Bridges Middle School

Bring your next conference, professional learning day, or community workshop to Bridges Middle School. Our 30,000-square-foot campus in Portland’s Slabtown neighborhood offers a setting for bringing people and ideas together.

Venue rentals are available by arrangement on approved summer non-school days. Share your plans with us, and we will explore the spaces, set up, and support your event needs.

A place for learning beyond the school day

The best gatherings leave people feeling connected, inspired, and ready to take their next step. At Bridges, we welcome opportunities to extend that spirit to the broader community.

Our conference package brings approved gathering areas, breakout classrooms, and shared spaces together under one roof. It is designed for conferences, educator trainings, nonprofit meetings, professional development, and mission-aligned community events.

Your event. A meaningful connection.

Choosing Bridges supports our school while giving your organization space to connect, learn, and grow. We offer distinct rates for commercial providers, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, and education or mission-aligned partners.

What your rental includes

Each full-campus conference package includes up to 10 consecutive hours, including setup and breakdown, with access to the rooms and common areas identified in your rental agreement.

The package includes available breakout and meeting rooms, approved gathering areas and restrooms, existing tables and chairs, guest Wi-Fi, standard utilities and HVAC during your contracted hours, and a pre-event facility orientation.

Specific spaces, furniture, technology, and event capacity are confirmed during planning. Staff offices, storage, and other restricted spaces are not included.

A clear estimate before you book

Facility coordinator support is $60 per hour, with a four-hour minimum. Standard post-event cleaning is $350. Additional custodial support, technology assistance, security, equipment, or special setup may apply based on your event.

For an event using eight total access hours—including setup and breakdown—estimated rental, coordinator, and standard-cleaning costs are $3,830 for commercial providers, $3,330 for 501(c)(3) nonprofits, and $2,830 for education or mission-aligned partners.

A full ten-hour access period with ten hours of coordinator support adds $120 to these estimates. A separate $1,500 refundable damage deposit is required and is not included in the totals above.

Let’s plan your gathering

Tell us about your event. Share your preferred dates, anticipated attendance, event purpose, and space needs.

Review the fit. We will discuss availability, room arrangements, accessibility needs, support services, and an event-specific estimate.

Confirm your reservation. Your date is confirmed after Bridges approves the event and receives a signed rental agreement and a 50% base-rental deposit. The remaining rental balance and estimated support costs are due 30 days before the event.
