Bridges Middle School is pleased to welcome Cathy Reynolds as the new Chair of our Board of Trustees as we begin an important new chapter in the life of our school.
Cathy brings both a deep connection to Bridges and a strong commitment to its future. As a Bridges alumni parent, she understands firsthand the difference the right school environment can make for neurodivergent students and their families. She has seen what becomes possible when students are known, supported, challenged, and given a genuine sense of belonging.
As Board Chair, Cathy will help lead the Board in its primary responsibilities of governance, policy, strategic stewardship, and long-term sustainability. The Board works in partnership with school leadership while maintaining an important distinction between governance and the day-to-day operations of the school.
Cathy steps into the role following the extraordinary leadership of outgoing Board Chair Jennifer Rollins, whose 11 years of Board service—including eight years as Chair—helped guide Bridges through periods of tremendous challenge, growth, and transformation. We are deeply grateful for Jennifer’s service and excited for Cathy to carry that work forward.
Building the Board for Bridges’ Next Chapter
As Bridges continues to grow into our new campus and look toward the future, we are also seeking new Trustees to join our Board.
Serving on the Bridges Board of Trustees is an opportunity to help strengthen a school with a singular mission: creating a safe and enriching academic and social environment where students with neurodiverse learning profiles can explore their role in the world as learners and members of their community.
Our Trustees help safeguard that mission while providing thoughtful oversight, strategic perspective, community connections, and expertise that contribute to the school’s long-term health.
We welcome interest from Bridges parents and family members, alumni families, professionals, community partners, and others who believe deeply in creating educational environments where neurodivergent young people can thrive.
As we build the Board for this next chapter, we are especially interested in people with experience in areas such as:
- Finance, accounting, banking, or nonprofit financial oversight
- Legal expertise, particularly nonprofit governance, employment, contracts, or education
- Fundraising, philanthropy, advancement, and community partnerships
- Marketing, communications, and public relations
- Business leadership, entrepreneurship, and strategic planning
- Education, disability advocacy, and neurodiversity
- Facilities, real estate, or organizational growth
Board service is about more than bringing professional expertise. We are looking for people who are curious, collaborative, mission-driven, and prepared to engage thoughtfully in the responsibilities of nonprofit governance.

Bridges has entered an exciting new era. Our new campus gives us room to deepen our programs, strengthen community partnerships, and imagine what the next generation of support for neurodivergent middle school students can look like.
A strong, engaged Board of Trustees is essential to that future.
